The Apocryphal New Testament Easy to use collection of English translations of the New Testament Apocrypha.

The Book of Elchasai

This work is extant only in fragments found in Hippolytus, Haer. 9. 13–17, 10. 29 (Wendland, pp. 251–5, 284); Epiphanius, Haer. 19 and 30 (Holl, GCS 25, pp. 299 f., 333 ff.); and Origen in Eusebius, HE 6. 38 (Schwartz, GCS 9.2, pp. 592–4). It seems to have been a Jewish work overlaid with Christian (or rather Christian‐Gnostic) ideas. See G. P. Luttikhuizen, The Revelation of Elchasai (Tübingen, 1985) (= Texte und Studien zum antiken Judentum).
