1Tobias sent for Raphael and said: 2‘Azarias, my friend, take four servants and two camels with you, and go to Rages. Make your way to Gabael's house, give him the note of hand and collect the money; then bring him with you to the wedding feast. 34My father, as you know, will be counting the days, and if I am even one day late it will distress him. Yet you see what Raguel has sworn, and I cannot go against his oath.’ 5So Raphael went with the four servants and two camels to Rages in Media and stayed the night with Gabael. He delivered the note of hand and informed him that Tobit's son Tobias had taken a wife and was inviting him to the wedding feast. At once Gabael counted out to him the bags with their seals intact, and they put them together. 6They all made an early start and came to the wedding. Entering Raguel's house they found Tobias at the feast, and he jumped up and greeted Gabael. With tears in his eyes Gabael blessed him and said: ‘Good and worthy son of a worthy father, that just and charitable man, may the Lord give Heaven's blessing to you, your wife, and your parents-in-law. Praise be to God, for I have seen my cousin Tobias, the very likeness of his father.’
