MSS ‘I contemplated’; Aram. ‘Consider’. all the events in heaven, how the lights in heaven do not change their courses, how 2 Gk.a ‘how they do not change their courses, and the lights in heaven, how’. each rises and sets in order, each at its proper time, 3 Gk.a adds ‘and they appear at their feasts’. and they do not transgress their law. 2Consider the earth, and understand 4 Q ‘I considered the earth and understood’. from the work which is done upon it, from the beginning to the end, 5 Gk.a adds ‘they are corrupt’. that no work of God changes as it becomes manifest. 6 Gk.a ‘that nothing upon earth changes, but all the works of God become manifest to you’. 3Consider 7 QD′ ‘I considered’. the summer and the winter, how the whole earth is full of water, and clouds and dew and rain rest upon it. 8 how … upon it: Gk.a om.
