Hear my words, and incline your ear to the dream-vision of your father. 3Before I took your mother Edna, I saw in a vision on 3 GMTD′ ‘of’. my bed, and behold a bull came out of the earth, and that bull was white; and after it a heifer came out, and with the heifer 4 Lit. ‘and with it (fem.)’; MTD′EFHP1 ‘and with it (masc.)’; Q ‘with it (masc.)’. came two bullocks, 5 two bullocks: so GNC′; other MSS have an ambiguous phrase perhaps to be translated ‘other bullocks’. and one of them was black, and the other red. 4And that black bullock struck the red one, and pursued it over the earth, and from then on I could not see that red bullock. 5But that black bullock grew, and a heifer went with it; and I saw that many bulls came out from it which were like it and followed behind it. 6 GMTD′ ‘them’. 6And that cow, that first one, came from the presence of that first bull, seeking that red bullock, but did not find it; and thereupon it moaned bitterly, 7 GQD′ ‘and it moaned bitterly over it (G ‘in respect of it’)’. and continued to seek it. 7And I looked until that first bull came to it and calmed it, and from that time it did not cry out. 8And after this she bore another white bull, 8 GQD′ ‘two white bulls’. and after it she bore many black bulls and cows. 9And I saw in my sleep that white bull, how it likewise grew and became a large white bull, and from it came many white bulls, and they were like it. 10And they began to beget many white bulls which were like them, one following another. 9 GMQTD′ ‘many following, one after another’.
