1And with a heavy sigh the devil said, O Adam! all my hostility, envy, and sorrow is in consequence of you, for it is because of you that I was driven from my glory, which I had in heaven among the angels, and because of you I was thrown out onto the earth. 2Adam answered, What have I done to you, or what can you blame me for?
