1And I, Baruch, said to the angel, Let me ask you one thing, my lord. 2You told me that the dragon drinks a cubit out of the sea: tell me also how big is his belly? 3And the angel said, His belly is Hades; and it extends about as far as three hundred men can throw a plummet. 1 Lit. ‘and as far as a plummet is thrown 〈by〉 three hundred men, so big is his belly’.
