1And as I was talking with them, behold, angels came with baskets full of flowers; and they gave them to Michael. 2And I asked the angel, Who are these, my lord, and what are they bringing with them? 3And he said to me, These are the angels who are over the righteous. 1 Reading δικαίων for ἐξουσιω̂ν. 4And the archangel took the baskets and emptied them into the bowl. 5And the angel said to me, These flowers are the merits of the righteous. 6And I saw other angels carrying baskets that were 〈neither〉 empty nor full. 2 Reading οὔτε κενὰ οὔτε γέμοντα for κενὰ οὐ γέμοντα. And they began to lament and would not come near because what they had to offer was imperfect. 3 Lit. ‘because they had not the prizes complete’. 7And Michael cried out and said, Come here, you angels, and bring me what you have brought as well. 8And Michael was very sad (as was also the angel who was with me) because they did not fill the bowl.
