The name of a Syrian god worshipped by Naaman in Damascus (2 Kgs. 5: 18) but not in the end exclusively, since he had to share temple space with Yahweh after Naaman had been cured of leprosy by Elisha.

Rimmon was also the name of a place south of Jerusalem (Zech. 14: 10) in which some of the returning exiles settled.
