An area in Asia Minor north of Pamphylia and Cilicia which contained towns (Derbe, Lystra, Iconium) visited by Paul (Acts 13: 51–14: 21 and 16: 1–3). It was incorporated into the Roman province of Galatia in 25 BCE, but under the emperor Trajan (98–117 CE) was transferred to the province of Cappadocia.
