Although it is a time for dreaming divine messages (Matt. 2: 12–13, 14), night is, rather, a metaphor for danger (Ps. 91: 5) and grief (Ps. 30: 5), and many psalms speak of deliverance coming ‘in the morning’. In the New Jerusalem there will be no night (Rev. 21: 25) and God's people will enjoy his presence all the time.
